Formby Point Visit

We finally got around to becoming members of the National Trust in the past few weeks, so after a few false starts due to bad weather we managed to get out to Formby Point, one of the many National Trust location very close to us.
I think we picked the best day, as the sun was out all day and lovely and warm, which is a big change from what we have had in the last few months.
The two main things at Formby Point are the beach and the woods which have red squirrels, but we never got to see any and it wasn't for the lack of looking, more to the point that they heard Sam and Ryan coming :)

Anyway the boys had a great time on the beach with picnic and sand castle building, and it was good to see them out and clearing some of those cobwebs away that have gathered over the winter.
As its the first use of the membership it went well, and I'm looking forward to seeing lots more from our  National Trust in the local area before going further a field.
