   Here is just a few pictures of Samuel and Ryan with the pumpkin that we carved, also Samuel dressed up as a skeleton pirate just before he went out trick or treating!

Martin Mere - 27.10.10

     We went to Martin Mere on Thursday, I think we landed with luck with the weather, as it was a great day. Also they reported a big increase of birds arriving so much so that it was on tv the night before.
 Samuel had a great time feeding the birds and it was Ryan's first time there, but he loved it, he even got to try out his new wellies!

Make and Play Day!

     Today was a lazy day, so we had a make and play day! Samuel decided to make a robot called "64", I don't know why he called it 64. And Ryan had a go at drawing with some crayons, he did really well until the need to put them in his mouth became to great, then we had a paddy when they were taken away!!

     Happy 1st Birthday Ryan. I can not believe that you have only been in our lives 1 year, you bring so much happiness, you can always bring a smile to my face what ever is going on around me.

Latest games in my collection

     Well some how I'v managed to get a few new games in the last month or so, so I thought I would do a quick post about them.
 The first, and one that I have been waiting for sometime is Elemental, its a cross between Civ and a PRG. It had a bit of a rocky lunch with a few problems and bugs, but they have just released patch 1.08 which seems to have solved all my problems with it, so now I can put in some time on it now!

 The second game I got was Worms Reloaded, this one is so Samuel can play, but I loved Worms Armageddon which was 10 years ago!

 And the last is Future Wars, a turn base game, again I thought Samuel might like to play as its a slow game of "i have more tanks then you".

August 2010 - family pictures

 So August has gone, it was a busy one! We had been to SeaLife in Blackpool, Camalot at Chorley and Legoland and the castle at Windsor......

Windsor trip 2010

     We had a long but great day yesterday at Legoland. Samuel loved it and Ryan was just happy as always.
Today we went to Windsor Castle, I was really surprised how big the place was, does the queen really need all that space!? We also all went on the Windsor Wheel which was alittle scary, I would of taken I pic with my phone but was holding onto Ryan like a vice!

Sun flare in HD

    Here is a short video clip of the last sun solar flare that went off on the 2nd of this month.
 And NASA says that this just marks the start of a long, crazy solar storm season.

 The Sun goes through a regular activity cycle that lasts about 11 years, cycling between activity (solar maximum) and quiet (solar minimum). The last solar maximum was in 2001 followed by a long period of very little activity. The eruptions are among the first signs that the Sun is waking up and beginning to move towards another solar maximum, expected to occur in about 2013.

Our Scarborough Holiday

     Now I know its been a few weeks since we got back but its been all go so I have not had time to write a new post....
 So here we are, we spent 5 lovely days just on the outskirts of Scarborough at a place called Cayton Bay. There was plenty todo and we were out and about every day as the weather was so nice, though the streets at home were being flooded!!

  All great places, and we took lots of pictures. Almost every early evening we went into Scarborough for a walk on the beach and to have an evening meal. I think if we could we would pack up and live there as it was such a nice place, the weather was great and we all felt healthy for all the walking we did!!

    So anyway have a look at the pictures and there will be a video coming soon, which even has Samuel on stage playing games!!

Microsoft Surface - Gamers Dream?

     Now I'm a bit of a gamer when given the chance, and for the last few years have been watching Surface with excitement! This looks great, still well out of reach price wise for any one that does not have there own jet, but we can dream.

     I know its an MMO but I do like the trailer for the new DC Universe Online game.

Another great weather day here, today we went to Whitby, and then onto robin hoods bay. Both really nice places. Pics on the blog.

Today we went to Bridlington, another lovely fishing port. The weather has turned a little today but still nice enough to walk on the pier. We also stopped off at a model village in Sewerby.
