Day Trip Into London
Last Saturday we thought it would be a great idea to have a flying visit to our capital. Just us, the kids and Grandma. An early start was needed (8am train) as the journey down to London was just over 2hrs. We only planed to see maybe 2 main locations and anything else would be a bonus.
First stop, the Tower Of London. After what seemed like an age waiting to get tickets we were in. We have been before but not with the kids which what today was all about. We had a good look about in most parts of the place, but did not go and see the crown jewels as the line to get in was just mad and in the heat we were getting we thought we would take a pass this time :)
Next stop and what was my main reason for going was the National History Museum. This place is amazing, I could of done with a whole day alone for this place as very way you turn it takes you off to other interesting places and things to see. The boy's had a great time and just loved the dinosaurs.
Before jumping back on the train for going home, we manged to get a quick walk on Hyde Park just to say we had been :)
Great day overall, just knackering!!!
