Rufford Old Hall

Another weekend another family trip out using our National Trust membership. This weekend we didn't travel too far ( only about 25mins from our home ) to Rufford Old Hall. It was a great day out, the Victorian and Edwardian gardens are really nice to walk around, and looked great in the gorgeous weather we had. The Hall itself was smaller then I was expecting but really nice inside. The boy's liked walking around all the rooms because they were looking for an different animal in each one ( a paper they were given as we entered the Hall ).

It brought back happy memory's of when my parents use to take me and my brothers around all Tudor, Victorian and Edwardian Homes, and got to look around ( but not to cross the red roped off area's ) just to see some of our history.
I think the boy's enjoyed the gardens more because they got to play with some of the items that were out ( Chess, Swing Ball, Dominos and Connect 4, to name a few ). We will definitely go again, but next time take a picnic to enjoy the garden's even more.
